I'm assuming at least most of us have unlocked and played the new jobs a little. So c'mon, tell me what you think.
Puppet master is going to break some banks. The attatchments are expensive and used pretty constantly. At lvl 10 you get the quests for the new doll armors. Just an example of the prices on these, the melee (Not exact) quest, involves you getting materials.: Cermet Sheet(50kish) Tigerfangs(150k) Some Cucoon (30k) Some free material and 3 imperial silver coins (130kish each)
Not to mention prices of food, automaton oils, and all the gear for your character.
BLU is pretty fun, it's just not my thing. For the most part it involves alot of traveling to learn the different moves, and the fact that each move has it's own additional effect and combining different moves give the character pluses and stat bonus. Seems like a very versatile job with many differnent optinions in a party. For the most part, well done!
Surprisingly enough, Corsair has been the job I've spent the most time with so far. Phantom roll is a once a minute JA that gives you accessability to many different other rolls. The first one you get is Corsair's roll which gives everyone in effect an xp bonus, made leveling up pretty easy 1-10. When phantom roll is used, a "dice" is spun as numbered cards circle around the corsair, and a number 1-6 is randomly selected. After this you have 45 seconds to use the "Double up" ability which is basicly another roll of the dice. The point is to get as close or to actually get 11 without going over. If the corsair rolls XII or above, a BUST effect takes place, meaning the effect of the casted spell is voided, but the worse part is, a bust icon resides in your status menu for the normal 5 minute duration of a normal roll. Meaning for the duration of the bust, you can only have one roll active.
I plan to take COR and PUP to at least 25~30 to get a better feel for them in a hectic party scenario. I'll definatly wait until the new job hype has passed a little before messing with pup. An example of the low level inflation is the fact that a royal archers sword is going for 50k..... nice.
Give your input!

been playin pupp and havin a blast. but i gotta say i am very disappointed in the huge amount of money you have to get to even get low level upgrades. i mean wtf. i cant even get the basic attachments because they are 100k each on ah. im pissed that idiot aholes camp the cc guild to buy those cocooons and sell them for 3000% profit. and u know 80 % of those ppl dont even play puppetmaster. i mean how deprived are these fing dorks that they can blatantly be such raving oppurtunists. and u cant say its the ppl who buy them who are to blame. ppl only buy them because its the only place to buy them. its immoral to blame the ones who are being taken advantage regardless of the situation. was it the fault of 1000's of poor USSR citizens in the 80's that waited days in line for a loaf of bread just because they were desperate enough to do it. NO!! this game is rampant capitalism at its worst sometimes. ppl with T1 lines or maybe jp players who have that added 3 or 4 second advantage to get there b4 u. it just sucks. but i must admit i believe this will eventually go away. ppl will realize that they are not rare items but just new and most of us havent done the quest or missions to get them. like anima or something. idk, i hope so. thats my 2 cents. laters

I'm in the same boat as Rhyno here.. I spent ~400k on pup already.. got to lv11, seen some pretty cool stuff. I cant wait to progress further. But when I started the upgrade quest, and did a little research on the items needed for it.. ugh. That cocoon is sold at the clothcraft guild in Whitegate for less than 800 gil. Seeing it in the AH history for ONE MILLION gil is.... upsetting, to say the least. I will one day lvl pup again.. but only when ppl stop being greedy/selfish/stupid (wait.. I think thats the same day the world explodes..).
On a lighter note.. the job is cool.. the attachments (you only can use one of each, and they dont appear to actually get used up at all. I think the stacking and 12x crafting results are there to flood the market faster.. prices will drop soon enough on those) are remarkable. Using Elemental Maneuvers (10sec recast on those) increases the effects, or gives statuses to your automaton. For instance: using the Earth Maneuver when your pet has a Shock Absorber installed will cause it to use the ability and gain a Stoneskin effect. The Auto-repair Kit and Mana Tank give Regen or Refresh accordingly with Light or Dark Maneunvers. Some of the other things are more subtle.. like Fire Maneuvers will increase the automaton's STR and atks.. its not really noticeable at the lower lvs.. but I'm sure the difference will be greater toward endgame.
You can have up to three maneuvers on you at one time.. And each like maneuver will increase the effects. Having done three Light Maneuvers will give your maton 3hp/tick regen, or three Fire Maneuvers will increase attacks all that much more. Using the same moves repeatedly can take a toll on your pet though, and you need to pay close attention to the day of the week. Using too many Light maneuvers on Darksday will cause your maton to Overload.. rendering it useless until the burden wears off. The Overloaded time seems to be basedon exactly how much burden you gave it.. so the time its out of commission can vary.
edit: I didnt comment on the other jobs XD
BLU looks pretty cool. but I'm totally not into the fighting for hours to learn an ability thing.. Spell combinations in your Set for Traits is pretty ingenious.. very cool job.
COR seems to be the only job from ToAU that someone could pretty much pick up and run with.. no holding back. I like the actual spell effects they get (exp bonus? who wouldnt like that?), and the graphics are awesome too. since pup is outof the question now, and everyone else is to obsessed with ToAU to go meriting on my whm, I'll prolly take a gamble with cor (lmao.. laaaame XD)

Lol Peti, smoooooth XD
You all know how obsessed I was over PUP, luckily for me (sorta) I got the expansion a few days later then most other people. A good friend of mine, Sirenity, was also really looking forward to it, infact nothing stopped her from getting it. Now she's sitting at level 10 and depressed as all hell.
Watching her play was amazing. To put Peti's info into an example, we were leveling in Palborough, and her puppet was hitting with Enthunder, tanking with stoneskin (because it was hitting for way more then my corsair) and regening it's self. It was truely impressive.
But like Rhyno said, looks like it may be a month or so 'til I can play the job. As long as wierdo's keep paying up near 2 million for a 700 gil clothcraft ingredient... well... nuff said, lol.

Peti, have you found if CHR is affecting your overloads or not?
I'm @ 21 currently on Pup, and still dont have it figured if it really matters or not yet....
Starting to think that str affects fire maneuver overloads, chr affects light, etc...
Whatcha think?

hmm. My pup is only lv11.. but I made it all the way there in nothing but my Windy Aketon, so I never messed much with stats. But on the same regard, I had the same stats the whole time. There were times when I had more overloads than others, and different elements and such. I'm not too sure if the puppetmaster's stats would have an effect on the puppet. The puppet has its own stats and skills. Maybe though... CHR might efect how fast it responds to maneuvers.. for instance, more CHR might make the pup Provoke faster, use TP on cue, or gain acc faster. One thing that might effect overloads (I did notice that the message says "Peti is overloaded." not "Pino is overloaded.") is elemental resistances. Since weather and day of the week seem to have an effect, I wouldnt be surprised.
